Story

This winter will be a struggle for many Syrian refugee families living in Lebanon. After 7 years of war, it's harder and harder for families living as refugees to meet their basic needs, and with resources and emergency aid increasingly scarce, it can be impossible to afford to buy blankets and fuel to keep warm.

Merath (LSESD) works with churches and NGOs across Lebanon to reach out to vulnerable Syrian families, build relationships and provide essential support. By giving, you will directly enable this support to reach more families this winter.

Here's what your support could provide:

£6 buys a blanket

£11 buys a cooking stove

£25 buys a pair of mattresses

£45 buys fuel for a family to heat their living space

£62 buys a stove to provide heating

If you're a UK tax-payer your donation can be worth 25% more by choosing to gift aid your donation.

Anything you can give will genuinely make a significant difference for some of the most vulnerable Syrian families in Lebanon.

Thanks so much!

Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development

The Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development (LSESD) is a faith-based organization with a vision to see God glorified, people reconciled, and communities restored through the Church in the Arab World.

We approach our mission in a holistic and integrated manner made possible through six different specialized “arms” through which we

1) Seek to equip (leadership development) and resource (Christian resources in Arabic language) the Arab Church that it may remain relevant and maintain a vibrant witness in its context.

2) Aspire to transform the communities where we serve through raising a new generation that loves God and others (offer quality education opportunities where learning, faith, and practice are integrated); and

3) Address issues of poverty and vulnerability and the right to education for all as a practical reflection of God’s love for the vulnerable and the marginalized, that they may attain their full God-given potential.
