In these hard times, remaining safe and safeguarding the people who look up to us for encouragement and support as well as ourselves and our families comes as our first priority. You may be aware by now that at Smile Charity Uganda (SCU), we have people who are facing life challenges and therefore housed with us at a rented premise we named Adullam Caverna (after the story of David in 1 Samuel 22) and managed under one of SCU’s programs – Crisis Intervention Program the only home for them where they are depending not only for housing but food, water and other services.
We at Smile Charity Uganda understand and empathise with our supporters and funders in the COVID-19 trying times knowing very well that most of you are either under complete lockdown or not gainfully employed. Asking for anything is the last thing we would want to do at these trying moments. Nevertheless, it is scriptural (Matthew 7:7) to ask when pressed hard and in dire need.
We are physically apart, spiritually united!
