Story
Mary Else Munn RIP
‘Mollie’ to us all
7 October 1921 – 30 July 2020
Mollie was the oldest member of St. Giles’ having been the sole survivor of the congregation that transferred from St. Luke’s Old Street when it was declared unsafe in 1959. She was sacristan for many years and ensured that everything and everybody was in its rightful place. She ran the Sunday School and continued her deep interest in the children in later years, always insisting on sitting right at the back of St Giles to keep in touch with them.
The pew at the back of the church was known to us all as Mollie’s pew. We are inviting contributions to a new pew which will bear a plaque declaring to all that it is for Mollie.
Donating with Stewardship is really easy and completely secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid on your donation. This will add 25p to every £1 you give. Thanks for visiting!

Hopefully this helps a little towards commemorating Mollie's presence within the local community and St Giles in particular.
As Mollie has been rightly honoured with many donations, I would like to give this money in memory of Frank Major.
In memory of Mollie and conversations with her, sitting on her bench, at the back of the church.
