Story
On Sat 9th May a team HAD INTENDED cycling around Arran Island (56 miles) AND then climbing Goat Fell (2866 ft), while some will be tackling one of the two challenges. A few intrepid athletes intend starting the day by cycling from Ayr to catch the ferry - total cycling for them will be 106 miles!
The date was obviously coronavirus permitting - we'll now reschedule for later in 2020/21
Details about the wonderful Kitega Community Centre are below. Riverside church in Ayr has been a supporter for a few years and have had several members spend time volunteering at the Centre. Our trip planned for this summer has been postponed until 2021 due to COVID-19. However, we wanted to continue to raise much needed funds for the Centre, the children and the local Katungulu school.

Kitega Community Centre
Kitega Community Centre is a Christian founded NGO in Uganda founded in March 2000 and serves all people without religious prejudice.
The organisation's supports children with disabilities, running several initiatives to support independent living for these children and supporting inclusive development for better communities.
The work of Kitega Community Centre is inspired by the words in Matthew:25:40
‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,[a] you did it to me.’
The centre vision is to facilitate and create healthy inclusive communities in which every member is living a dignified life and respected as valuable and contributing to the development of their community.
