The Bus Stop is a charity that works with churches, young people and their communities in deprived and isolated areas. Our converted double-decker bus is used to run community cafes and youth drop-in sessions across Yorkshire and the North East, with the aim to meet young people where they are and provide a safe environment to explore faith.
As Purple Bus Ladies, we have decided that we love the Bus so much that we want to live on it for 4 days, from 3rd - 6th April 2018! We are preparing to plant another bus on the North Yorkshire Coast and we are trying to raise enough money to have two workers on this bus and another worker in the York area!
We will be posting regular updates and releasing videos on why we believe it's so important that the church is supporting young people! Please sponsor our crazy idea to sleep on an unheated double-decker bus for 3 nights!
Lots of love,
Emily and Cat, The Purple Bus Ladies
The Bus Stop is a mobile project which equips churches in working with young people in their local community. Our passion is for the local church to be an essential support and safe space for young people, and to be an encouragement for them as they navigate their teenage years! Our double decker buses are fully equipped youth spaces with comfy seating, cafes and consoles, and enable the church to go beyond it’s walls to where young people are.
