Story

At Dignity - we're working to take the 'period' out of periods. We're partnering with the African Child Trust (ACT) to support girls at the Nyezerera School in Southern Malawi. 1006 of the 1842 school's pupils are girls and many of them are consistently absent for one week each month due to the lack of sanitation and menstruation provision. We want to provide sanitary supplies and support each girl's right to an education. For less than £10, you can buy a Life Pack which we'll send to support a girl in Malawi. The Life Pack contains recyclable, biodegradable pads that last up to five years and help keep girls in school. Life Packs (featured in the photo above) are beautifully made and hand-sewn by the Days for Girls organisation. Donating with give.net is really easy and completely secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid on your donation. This will add 25p to every £1 you give. Thanks for visiting!

Free Range Chicks

We believe every girl and woman should enjoy the freedom to flourish. By supporting and campaigning for health and education initiatives, we exist to empower women to secure better chances in learning, vocation and life. The Dignity project would like to help girls in regions and countries who suffer in silence over the lack of menstruation hygiene provision. We campaign to bring awareness through the media, create educational materials and initiate ongoing fundraising ideas. We're starting by supporting girls at the Nyezerera School in Southern Malawi, in partnership with the African Child Trust (ACT) who exist to support the education of disadvantaged children and orphans in Africa. We are also partnering with Days for Girls who distribute feminine hygiene kits, drive awareness of the issue and help different communities to start their own programmes.

My 11 yr old daughter was so inspired by Vicky Taylor, who told us about this the last time we saw her, that she started saving some of her pocket money each month. In memory of an incredible lady... X
