Story

You will be unsurprised to learn the Coronavirus outbreak is having a grave impact on our work here at CYE. This impact will grow in depth and severity.

Our priority is the welfare of our staff, volunteers and guests. We have stopped all non-essential spending and have made use of all government assistance.

The current restrictions could be financially devastating for CYE. We firmly believe, however, that our work here is not yet done and we need a lifeline to continue.

Our losses will likely exceed £156,000.

Our insurance will not cover us as we did not have a case 'at' the premesis.

If you feel able to help with our difficult financial situation, please consider a lifeline donation.

We choose faith, not fear.

Thank you for your care and commitment to the work of CYE over many years.

God bless.

Mark Sheldrake
Centre Director

Christian Youth Enterprises Sailing Centre, Lifeline Appeal

Hello,

*If you are responding to our Lifeline Appeal, firstly, a huge thank you. Secondly, please put 'lifeline' in the reference*

We are a Christian residential outdoor activity centre offering both land and water activities in Chichester harbour such as sailing, kayaking, canoeing, tunneling, archery & an assault course.

We have a custom built barge, T.S. Resolute, which accomodates up to 50 people in 4 berth ensuite cabins, as well as open plan areas all with sea views!

We welcome many schools, youth and church groups for periods of up to a week with plenty of activity and a chance to share the Gospel message with them during their stay. We also lead Christmas and Easter assemblies in local schools and deliver assemblies to each day to our school groups.

We are passionate about living life to the full and enabling that for all that come through our gates. We have a fantastic team of staff and volunteers who we are committed to training - both in discipleship and formal qualifications.

Donation a reward to our son Zach who decided to use his lockdown energy to ‘climb’ the height of Mont Blanc up the stairs of our home. 4810m ascended, lots of determination shown to continue when it got repetitive. Delighted to support CYE and him.
