15 of us (aged 17 to 77!) are undertaking the Three Peaks Challenge on 19-20 June to raise much needed funds for Be Me project.
In our society 1 in 4 young people have poor mental health. Be Me project seeks to draw close to girls and women who have low self esteem and create a safe space where they can open up, find their confidence and feel valued. We provide tools to help equip them to find purpose and hope in life.
We start by beating Ben Nevis at 6pm on 19 June, aim to smash Scarfell from 4am on 20th June and finally limp up and down Snowdon to collapse in a glorious pile at the bottom by 6pm on 20th.
Every penny raised will contribute to our work Welcome to my give.net fundraising page. Donating with give.net is really easy and completely secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid on your donation. This will add 25p to every £1 you give. Thanks for visiting!
We inspire girls and women to find, celebrate, and embrace their real identity, to be equipped to cope with the world's pressures and to understand they are uniquely and wonderfully made for a purpose.
1 in 4 young people in our society are struggling with poor mental health, with waiting lists in some areas for up to 2 years for counselling. Be Me project provides a safe space to open up and share this takes place within schools, community centres and in GP surgeries. We run a nine week course teaching girls and woman tools to cope with some of life's pressures. We do not claim to be professionals and all our volunteers have their own life stories that help us to be compassionate and be able to help support course participants.
Our secular course 'She Is' aims to build positive self esteem and confidence to take the next step in life. We do also run a follow on course for those that choose called 'She Is Deeper' this is an opportunity to explore faith and our identity in God.
