Story
Hi! My name is Amy and i will be joining the Oakes GAP team in October. Please give towards The Oakes GAP Team Support Fund. the Oakes Trust (a registered charity) provides accommodation, food and training for all it's Gap team members. This costs the charity approximately £2400 per person, per year. All Oakes staff members are all unpaid volunteers. By giving to the Oakes Gap team support, you will be helping to provide for our mission to reach young people with the gospel.
Throughout the months of October through to July, i will be volunteering at The Oakes Holiday Centre to share God's word with children aged 8-18. I am extremely excited about sharing the happiness that i have found in God and to ecnourage and share with others!
Oakes Trust (Sheffield), Gap Team Support
The Oakes is committed to communicate the Gospel of Christ to children and young people. The aim is to provide a holiday centre where 8-18 year olds can hear the Christian message, be encouraged in their faith and enjoy a great holiday. The Oakes can accommodate 60 young people plus leaders. The large Georgian house stands in 10 acres of historic gardens including a lake, walled garden, woods, and extensive lawns, yet lies within the city of Sheffield.
