Welcome to the 2nd Amersham on the Hill Scout Group fundraising page to help us raise money for our new Scout Hall. Donating with give.net is really easy and completely secure. 2nd Amersham on the Hill Scout Group
The Scout Hut on Rectory Hill has been here since 1923 when the group was first formed. As a Registered Charity, 2nd Amersham on the Hill Scout Group is a thriving Scout Group.
Membership is approx. 280, with 200 on the waiting list. We enable young people to enjoy new adventures, to experience the outdoors and gain confidence.
Although still functional, our current hall is becoming more difficult and costly to maintain. Our plans are to replace it with a modern, energy efficient, multipurpose building, with fabulous facilities to share with the community.
The project is budgeted to cost £2.2m.
In addition to approaching Trusts, local businesses, generous individuals/donors and Parents, we plan to run many fundraising activities.
The past two halls were founded by Parents and supporters and many generations of young people have had the benefit of these facilities. We hope you will grasp the vision and support our efforts in providing facilities for the generations to come.
