"Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity.” Psalm 133:1
"One lady told me she would rather die from COVID19 than die from hunger. Five days ago 13 children came to my house asking for food!” Bishop Given Gaula, Kondoa, Tanzania
The Coronavirus pandemic has affected communities throughout the world. In many parts of the Church communities are without basic health and sanitation facilities, lockdowns have caused severe financial hardship for daily wage earners and hunger is spreading.
We are very grateful to everyone who has participated in the Together in Unity COVID Appeal. We have now exceeded our initial target of £250,000. We know that due to the ongoing pandemic the needs across the global church are significant and continuing so we continue to raise funds to support our sisters and brothers across the Anglican Communion. Our new target is £400,000. Please do help us to achieve this! Thank you.
The Friends of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Anglican Communion Fund (FACF) is the fundraising arm of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Anglican Communion Fund (ACF). The ACF, part of the Archbishop’s international ministry, provides grants to church communities across the 41 provinces of the Anglican Communion to strengthen and support the work of the church in their mission to live and share Christ's love.
The ACF supports a wide variety of Projects that span the Five Marks of Mission, planned and initiated by church communities throughout the Communion. It also reponds to needs of the church during times of crisis.
Our Strategic Partnerships work together with Provinces to strengthen the provincial church, financially supporting strategic plans develped by the province to address their most critical needs.
The ACF also supports Anglican Representation at key global fora ensuring an Anglican Voice is heard at the United Nations, the European Institutions and the Anglican Centre in Rome.
