The Ewafe Project rescues, rehabilitates and reintegrates vulnerable children who have been abandoned, orphaned or forced to live alone in the slums. Ewafe, means ‘Where We Belong’ . This project supports abandoned and at risk children in the slums of Kampala. The project offers emergency help and a safe place to live, while also working towards reuniting children with their relatives and reintegrating them with loving families where possible.
Last year, we helped to reintegrate 10 children back into loving families and rescued 11 children from harm. We want to be able to help many more children however the Ewafe project is very expensive to run. We are fundraising in order to expand this project to keep more families together in Uganda. The funds raised can help us to expand the Ewafe home, support our social workers in searching for family members and, ultimately, to bring more children home.
Please donate to help us keep more children in Uganda safe. Thank you for your support !
