Sowing Seeds started in 2007 as a charity reaching out to prisoners in the North East of England, befriending and mentoring inmates and using workshops and informal interventions to help prisoners change their lives, including resettlement on the outside. We have grown steadily as a charity and we have 10 paid staff and 20 volunteers. We currently reach 200 prisoners per year, with 50 regular inmates and 200 one off informal interventions in five prison across the North East. Sowing Seeds has three main aims; 1 to bring hope to young people in trouble with the law. 2 By helping them, reduce crime. 3 Provide help and support for the families of young people in prison because they also suffer.Find a fundraiser
