Qhubeka moves people forward with bicycles. People earn bicycles through our programmes, improving access to schools, clinics and jobs.

Why “Qhubeka” and why bicycles?

Qhubeka is an Nguni word that means “to progress”, “to move forward”. Bicycles help people move forward. With a bicycle, a person can travel faster and further, and carry more.

Our programmes

People earn bicycles through our different programmes which are based throughout South Africa and implemented in communities by our partners.

We offer five main types of programmes:

1. Learn-to-earn Programmes

2. Work-to-earn Programmes

3. Health Programmes

4. Sports Programmes

5. Disaster Relief Programmes

Qhubeka is in project partnership with Global Development Group for project J969N.
