We are doing the Sheffield Half Marathon to raise funds for the Oakes Holiday Centre. Any donation would be much appreciated as it would go towards costs of accommodation, training and food for the year.
The Oakes Holiday Centre runs camps for 8-18 year olds where they can receive Bible teaching through small group studies and main events, enjoy games as well as activities and have an all round good time with others their age.
Throughout the year we have taken part in ministry training through study days, done maintenance work on workdays and prep camps. Whilst on camp, we have done various roles including cleaning, leading campers to make sure they make the most of their time spent on camp, helped with catering and lead the cleaning team.

The Oakes is committed to communicate the Gospel of Christ to children and young people. The aim is to provide a holiday centre where 8-18 year olds can hear the Christian message, be encouraged in their faith and enjoy a great holiday. The Oakes can accommodate 60 young people plus leaders. The large Georgian house stands in 10 acres of historic gardens including a lake, walled garden, woods, and extensive lawns, yet lies within the city of Sheffield.
