Story

A group of colleagues from St Andrew's, Turi, will be climbing Mount Kenya! Several of us are doing the climb to raise funds for children's charities and projects across East Africa, including Kids Club Kampala. Should anyone wish to pledge a sum, no matter how small, to help children who live in desperate poverty, please please donate here as we undertake this challenge. We have so much. These children have so little. Thank you for reading. If you are a UK taxpayer, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid on your donation. This will add 25p to every £1 you give. Thanks for visiting!

Kids Club Kampala

Kids Club Kampala is a children’s charity working in the slums of Kampala, Uganda, with the aim of bringing hope and love to vulnerable children and transforming poor communities. Kids Club Kampala was set up to overcome the lack of hope and self-esteem of children living in situations of extreme poverty, and works to empower children and women from disadvantaged communities to bring about sustainable changes through different development projects and supporting their basic needs. Kids Club Kampala’s provides fun and games, football, music, dance, food and other basic needs for over 4000 children a week. Alongside this, Kids Club Kampala is supporting children to get a good education and working with women from these communities to help them increase their incomes and get their families out of poverty. Kids Club Kampala is also supporting vulnerable girls and helping children who have been abandoned have a safe place to live.
