Jess' 10-Mile Challenge
Women Walking 4 Women
Closing date: 18 August 2021
Story
Many woman in Kinshasa, DR Congo, are disadvantaged and vulnerable, and due to their circumstances can become stuck in sexual exploitation. BOMO’s residential programme, helps to break them free from the cycle of abuse and poverty through vocational training in tailoring, a safe place to stay, and support for their futures.
Rope Charitable Trust helps to enable this work so these women can start afresh, provide for their children, and achieve their dreams.
In August, I completed the 10 miles whilst on holiday and walked up Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, to raise money for these women.
