Story

Riverside School was started by ICY Students to provide free education to a very poor community. We have continued to support the school but new government regulations mean closure at the end of November. unless we can build 8 new classrooms.

If this happens children will have to walk miles to the nearest schools, facing the dangers of drowning crossing rivers and hippos.

We need to raise £5000 per classroom.

Thank you for visiting our give.net fundraising page. Donating with give.net is really easy and completely secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid on your donation. This will add 25p to every £1 you give.

ICY Africa

International Christian Youthworks Africa established in 2002, runs a Leadership and Development Academy in local centres across Africa to train & develop African young adults to become leaders of integrity, and to grow entrepreneurial, life & employment skills. It focusses on in-depth personal discipleship, leadership, financial capability, enterprise, economy & business understanding. Each student has to develop a project based on the UN Sustainable Goals.

Part of the Academy is the ICY Diploma,a programme with 13 core & 8 contextualised modules, validated by the Springdale Foundation (part of ForMission College U.K.).  Practical application enables students to impact their community.

The programme is provided free for those who can't afford it or through partnerships with local government, schools, and organisations.

We are a small charity with a big vision.Training young adults who will go on to train others and together bring societal change. Over 200,000 have done the course so far.
