Holy Trinity Children and Youth

Story

Children and young people’s work is at the heart of Holy Trinity’s mission for Wester Hailes.  We currently have meaningful contact with well over 100 children and young people and provide input and support activities to 3 schools in Wester Hailes.

Our HT Youth funding challenge is aiming to:

- pay for children and young people from Wester Hailes on residential breaks 

- Provide increased practical support for secondary school pupils at WHEC – developmental work in emotional resilience and social skills.

- Set up a friday afternoon club for primary school children, providing Friday lunch and a kids programme run by young leaders/role models from Holy Trinity.  We’re also exploring the possibility of some music and sport based activities.

To kick off our HT Young People’s funding programme, Jo Black who leads this work in Holy Trinity will be doing her very first 5k run – on 8th November. It may not sound far but Jo has never run before this year and the training has not been pretty!
