Raised out of £ 7500.00 target
What is Christmas without church and food! Most people look forward to something special on Christmas. Sadly, for many families in the slum communities, their reality is a different one. Many can hardly afford basic needs, and certainly, cannot afford a proper Christmas celebration.
We would like to support women and children with a Christmas basket containing 5kgs of rice, 1 whole chicken, 2kgs of sugar, and 2 bars of soap, 1 litre of cooking oil, and an extra tin of powdered milk for 100 Children with Disabilities.
This gesture will not only supplement the food for the families that will benefit but also help them celebrate along other families around the world.
We would love to raise £7500 to support 420 families of which 100 have children with disability.
All the money will go straight to buying the Christmas baskets. It will be amazing to support 1 family with a Child with Disability with a Christmas basket at £20 and or £17 for other families.
May God Bless you!
Joy for Children and Communities is a Christian UK registered charity (charity no. 1107290) that works in Uganda. We are supporting slum development projects in Uganda, working alongside the most disadvantaged people in the poorest areas of Kampala. We are a community-led charity serving the needs of the local people through a variety of activities; weekly women's meetings, football training and child sponsorship. These provide the community with the necessary skills and knowledge to live a better quality of life. Our aim is to be inspired by the community.
