In January 2023, 5,000 plus children have been successfully reintegrated from the streets to their families since Tumaini Kwa Watoto’s (TKW) Founders ventured from Swansea, Wales to the streets of Nairobi, Kenya in 1999. Our strategy is a ‘4 R’s reintegration model’ (Relate, rescue, reunite, and restore). Check our website for details and many stories.
God sets the lonely into families (from Psalm 68:6a) became our declaration. Every child needs a family was emblazoned on our hearts.
In 2011, the Founders needed to return to Swansea for family reasons.
The TKW Team in January 2023, reached 5,000 children rescued from the streets and reintegrated with their families since 1999. Children once lost on the streets, dreams shattered, have been restored to their families.
We have 6 Kenyan social workers and a Kenya Director. Each Team member now operates in a County in Kenya with Community volunteers as well as Nairobi.
Replicaton of our model into Africa is our dream.
