Story

It's that time of year for me to undertake my annual challenge to complete a Half Ironman and share (for one day) in the daily struggle of some of those in the emerging world. This year I was booked to take part in Castle to Coast Middle Distance Triathlon from Windsor Castle to the Coast at Brighton.

This year my fund raising for Bridges Nepal is for the Phase 2 of the Water Supply Project as shown in the diagram above in the villages that relocated following the 2015 earthquakes and seasonal monsoons. The children in these villages are particularly vulnerable to trafficking.

However Covid has put paid to the formal challenge so I am substituting the challenge with:

Saturday 25th July, Cycle from home to Thorpe Park Lakes 30km, Swim open water 2km, Cycle on from Thorpe to Windsor Castle and Return home totalling 90km, Run around Richmond Park and Wimbledon Common and back home 21km (1/2 Marathon)

Saturday 1st August, Cycle to the Coast at Brighton and back 150km.
