Time for another 10k! No. 4, I think!
I always find that signing up for a run focuses the mind a bit more on exercise, instead of sitting on the sofa reading the next Poldark novel. (I'm on 7 of 12, BTW. Haha!)
Also, it gives me the opportunity to collect funds for a worthy cause - with your help! (Thank you!) Last time it was Sands; this time I wanted to support a charity helping those battling eating disorders, as I know some who suffer with this illness.
I was scrolling through my Facebook feed, when the Nicholaston House Redevelopment project popped up. A friend from my publishing days, Helena Wilkinson, runs retreats from there on Overcoming Eating Disorders, so there was my cause! Helena is a bestselling writer on eating disorders, trainer and equine-facilitated psychotherapy practitioner (look it up - it's very interesting). She has worked with eating disorder sufferers for the last 30 years.

Thank you xxx
Nicholaston House was built in the 1880s in a peaceful spot overlooking the sea. The building was extended in the 1960s and in 1998 Swansea City Mission purchased the House as a Christian Conference and Retreat Centre.
The vision of Nicholaston House is to create an atmosphere of love and prayer where people can find acceptance, peace, hope and healing through a Christian residential house.
The focus of Nicholaston House is to facilitate different groups for conference and away days. The primary focus, however, is as a centre for healing and restoration channelled through the various courses and retreats. In the words of a recent guest – it is a place of blessing, safety and sanctuary.
Nicholaston House is run by Swansea City Mission and Educational Trust - Registered Charity No. 1096720. Company Registered in England and Wales No. 4646479. VAT Registration No. 810894623
