Nobody should have to face going hungry. We provide at least three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis.
Our foodbank was established in 2011 by churches and community groups, working together not just in Gillingham, but also Shaftesbury, Sturminster Newton, Bourton, Stalbridge, Wincanton, Mere and surrounding areas.
Having to go hungry is usually the result of other causes. At Open Door café, we work with other agencies to help; offering advice, signposting, and a friendly, listening ear over a cuppa and cake.
Donating with Stewardship is easy and secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, please consider 'Gift Aiding' to add 25p to every £1 you give.
