At a committee meeting of the Old Choristers Association it was decided to launch a project to finance the installation of recording equipment in the Quire and the Nave to enable services to be webcast for the benefit of any interested party.

Our Choir Trust is very keen to make this gift to the Cathedral so that broadcasts can be made in perpetuity and The Dean, The Director of Music Scott Farrell and Assistant Director of Music & Sub-Organist, Claire Innes-Hopkins are all delighted.

So now to the crunch. Would you be prepared to make a donation, pledge or bequest  towards the cost of £23,000?

Scott Farrell and  Tom Gough (Trustee) have met with a company called ABOUT SOUND who have run a live trial in November to test the proposed equipment and if you would like to see and listen to their work, check out King’s and St John’s Cambridge web sites.
