The Message Trust South Africa shares the Christian message with youth at risk in Cape Town, South Africa. We do this through our prison enterprise programme, community transformation, enterprise development and the creative arts. It has been such a pleasure looking at how we can best serve our communities using performance based out reach. Using the model of Genetik sessions, we have created a space where children with next to no means can hear the gospel and testimonies weekly.

i have been working in tough communities such Woodstock, Lotus River, Parkwood, Salt River and Observatory, where most of the young people face gangsterism, prostitution and alcohol abuse on a daily basis. We (Genetik Sessions) have been in front over 300 young people in the last year and over 12,000 young people through our Creative Mission teams. 

I love using my experience in the creative arts to assisting and pioneering new initaitives amongst some of the most marginalised young people in Cape Town.
