U-turn is a thriving, Christian, non-profit organisation based in South Africa that offers rehabilitation services to homeless people. Founded in 1997, U-turn believes that there is ‘life after homelessness’ and that simply meeting the basic needs of the street people – such as food and clothing – are not enough. Instead, street people need a pathway out of homelessness. Over the past two decades, U-turn has built a successful pathway that consists of addiction rehab, vocational and life skills and long-term work experience with added support from Occupational Therapists. All along we share the teaching of the bible so that hopefully, through the Lord's grace, people will find help for all eternity, not just this life. For more information see www.homeless.org.za.
