On 19th June we'll be walking 16 miles, partly on the National Forest Way, in South derbyshire to raise money for water and sanitation improvements at Bwanga Hill where the school pupils have to carry water from a spring 800m away before they can start their lessons.
Our project is an integrated water supply, sanitation, and education intervention, incorporating a reconstructed spring; three rainwater harvesting tanks; repair of a faulty borehole; 15 new toilets; and an accompanying health and hygiene education programme.
