Since November 2018 I have been working with Jenga CDO in Mbale, Uganda. Jenga aim to provide basic essentials of life to the most vulnerable and needy, empowering Ugandans to meet their own needs and bring long term, sustainable change to their communities.

As a midwife, I have been using my skills to teach women's health and general health and well being in schools, young mum's group and in other community groups. I have loved seeing the thirst for knowledge that there is here, and understanding how a small amount of information can empower someone to make informed decisions for their families. 

Since learning about the impact of period poverty, I have been running a project called "Every Girl", teaching girls to make sanitary wear out of resources avaliable to them, believing that no one should be without these essentials.
